The Master Plan

The Pontchartrain Beach Revitalization Master Plan is a bold vision to restore and reimagine one of New Orleans’ most nostalgic waterfront destinations. The plan brings back the spirit of the original Pontchartrain Beach while creating a modern, family-friendly, and community-centered lakefront experience.

The master plan includes expanded beach areas, protected swim zones, extended docks, boat access, jet ski rentals, beach volleyball, pickleball courts, a central amphitheater facing the water, a beach club, main bar, food and beverage kiosks, wellness areas, restored shoreline protection, improved parking, and a welcoming entry arrival zone.

The goal is to create a safe, active, and beautiful destination where residents and visitors can swim, relax, enjoy live entertainment, eat, drink, exercise, gather with family, and reconnect with the lakefront. This project is designed to celebrate the history of Pontchartrain Beach while building a new future for the community
